    Please correct my sentence

A common grammar mistake he makes is while using the past perfect tense.

Does the above sentence sound natural?

    Re: Please correct my sentence

Well, he doesn't make 'mistakes', he makes 'errors'.

You are using 'grammar', the noun, as an adjective instead of 'grammatical'

'while' is incorrect. I can have an accident 'while driving a car' but you would be saying he makes an error during the period of time he is using Past Perfect. No - he makes errors in his use of the Past Perfect.
