Question What does bare arsed mean?

    What does this sentence mean?
Iíve been bare arsed my whole life and they still put me behind bars!

    Is bare arsed an idiom?
If it is, what does it mean?

Re: What does bare arsed mean?

    Dear Christian:

In AmE, the expression is 'bare assed,' and it means either naked or wearing nothing that covers your 'ass' (or arse, bottom, seat, behind, keister, fanny, etc.)

    I hope this is helpful,

    Petra

So I think it means "I've been poor all my life [no riches from any crime] and I still get jailed."

Yes, depending on the context, it certainly could mean exactly that. Thanks!
