    Dear vilmucha:

'To ache for' something is to want it so badly that it causes a physical pain (ache).

One can ache for an absent loved one or simply for a piece of chocolate cake.
    In conversation:

'I am just aching for my vacation to begin.'

    I hope this is helpful,

    Petra
