    Question Spelling trouble

I'm attending FCE course and according to the Cambridge ESOL five-level system I'm on level three, but I'm having trouble with my spelling. I find it hard to spell correct when I come across the new word, and even everyday words. Is there any basic rules witch can help me?

    Re: Spelling trouble

Are there basic rules which can help? Not really, apart from the basic one of having a good dictionary, using it, and writing your own sentences using the word. Even for native speakers, practice makes perfect.

And read, read, read good modern English: The Economist, The Atlantic, The Times Literary Suplement, book reviews in the New York Times....
