    Question a wonderful round-the-world journey...

    Hi there,

Could you please tell me if:
    'a wonderful round-the-world-journey' is correct?

a friend of mine said it isn't because there is no balance and it should read:

'a wonderful journey round the world' (which I know is correct myself)

I insisted that mine is fine, and that I deliberately placed 'round-the-world' before the noun to emphasize it.

Can you help me sort this out?
    Thank you,

    angela

I'm not sure why you prefer "round-the-world"; but I wouldn't regard it as wrong. The third hyphen, linking the adjective to the noun, is wrong though, and makes the whole thing look rather Germanic!

    Thank you.
I prefer 'round-the-world' as adjective before 'journey' for emphasis.
Otherwise, the title would have been too commonplace.
Luckily, the third hyphen was a typo

You got it right in the thread's title - which I didn't notice until I'd replied.
