    ...sure will...

    Here's another one where you have to pick out the wrong one

    She... notice the parcel as soon as she comes in.

    1. sure will
    2. is sure to
    3. will surely
    4. is bound to

    This test is based on BrE and I've heard sure will used in American movies. Is it Americanism and is it why it's considered wrong?

    It is a colloquialism and not generally accepted as a formal structure. BrE also does not like this use of "sure will".

    Any of the others is fully acceptable in this sentence.

    I don't think we'd be likely to say "She sure will [do something]" either.

    We tend to use it as a response:
    A: Look up Jim if you got to Nashville. He's love to see you.
    B: (I) sure will!

    Oh yes, now I can remember that in the movies it was used as a response, though my American friend once said: "it sure is a lot of work".
