    grammar ....

    Im a english studen in south america and I need somebody to explain the following things :

    open class items and closed system items
    the noun , genetive case ...

    The English word types that are in the open class (we make new ones all the time) are nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.
    The closed- classs types are the conjunctions (and, but....), determiners (the, some....), modal auxiliaries (can, may....), prepositions (in, between....), and pronouns (you, that....). [This group is stable and unchanging.]
