    present perfect and past tense

Is this sentence correct? Can we use present perf. with simp past tense in a sentence?
ex: you've dropped the cup and it didn't break.

Re: present perfect and past tense

    The tenses should be consistent:

Ex: You dropped the cup and it didn't break.
