    Business Letters (Copies)

When sending a formal business letter and copies to several other individuals within the receiver's organization along with courtesy copies to others within your own organization, is it necessary to rank the persons in the CC list? Example: Letter to a Director of another organization with copies to the Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner (receivers direct supervisor) of the receiving organization along with the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner of senders organization.

Not necessary, but do what you feel happiest with. Alphabetical order of surname is the simplest method.
