    Sold on

    Hi everybody.
A famous man is at a restaurant with his wife. A boy comes to him and asks for an autograph. The man answers: "Wait until I finish eating". His wife says: "You go all around the country promoting that you are this nice guy. You'd better make up your mind if you're going to be that". Then he says the guy to come back and signs his autograph. In the end, the famous man says: *"That's how much I've been sold on this"*.

What does the sentence between ** mean?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Sold on

I don't understand the anecdote, not entirely, but "sold on" means "persuaded about" or "convinced" on a given topic.

Thanks konungursvia! I didn't manage to understand whether the famous man wants simply to highlight the way in which he understood the importance of being really nice with common people (how he has been sold on that) or if he wants to comment ironically (I signed the autograph, but I was non convinced in what my wife told me).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
