    Smile Marry and get marry

Please tell me the basic difference between marry and get marry:

    --Tony married Lisa last month.
--Tony got married to Lisa in Hawaii.

    Thank you!

    Re: Marry and get marry

Basically, those are two different ways of saying the same thing, ie becoming husband and wife.

    Re: Marry and get marry

    Hello.

Tony married Lisa last month. = Tony got married to Lisa last month.
Tony got married to Lisa in Hawaii. = Tony married Lisa in Hawaii.
She's marrying next month. = She's getting married next month.

It is more common to say She's marrying next month. than She's getting married next month.

    I'd rather say the opposite.

I wanted to say: It is more common to say She's getting married next month. than She's marrying next month.

    Sorry about that.
