    I want to understand you and so I ask you a question, if I may.

    There are two contributors in this thread, right? Both did their best to help you. Both devoted their time and effort to sort out your problem.

    My question is, what prior considerations did you give the situation before you decided on how to express your appreciation to the answerer(s)?
    Native versus non-native? Friend and not friend?
