Can you help me to understand the underlined parts of the following sentence? It is very confusing to me.
The dust jacket of a book contains information on the qualification of the author, and the author's point of view. Allowance must be made for the natural desire of the publisher and author to present the book in its best light.
You as buyer and reader of the book must be prepared not to complain if you do not like the way it looks and reads. The publisher and author have their own opinions of these matters, and in their view what they have done is the best for the book.
