    Asking people to move over

If somebody is in your way, what's the polite way of asking them to move over? (Is the use of move over fine here?)

Re: Asking people to move over

Excuse me, may I come past?

Very often, just "Excuse me" said firmly and loudly is enough to make people move out of your way.

Re: Asking people to move over

    Thanks a lot, Anglika!

Can you please tell me if the following questions are OK?

He moved over as I came towards him.
He moved aside as I came towards him.
He gave me way as I came towards him.

Re: Asking people to move over

I like the first two, though for the third I'd omit the "me" as "to give way" is a fixed expression.
