    Question portfolio?

    Hi,

Could you please tell me the English for that special notebook students use when working in groups on different projects (writing about themselves, their hobbies, writing short compositions on a certain topic, pasting different photos/illustrations, newspaper clippings,etc.).
    Is it 'English portfolio"?
I need to know the word used by ESL/EFL teachers.

    Thanks,
    daydreamer

    Re: portfolio?

What level are you asking about?

In our (USA) system for elementary to high school, many school districts keep a Student Portfolio that contains all records and samples of writing, etc. This is added to each year until the student graduates. This portfolio does not stay in the possession of the student. however. It is part of the official records of the school district.
