    Re: Check My Sentence Please

I'm wondering if the sentence makes any sense. Sorry I'm not of any help.

It lacks enough context to say if it is correct or not. As it stands it does not make a great deal of sense.

    Re: Check My Sentence Please

Those are just two pictures. They don't help analyze the sentence. However, it doesn't make sense to me.

The thin child's weight is [much][significantly][substantially] less than the fat child's weight.

The thin child's weight is much less than that of the fat child.

More simply: The thin child weighs a lot less than the fat child. EDITED to fix typo

Absolutely, yes, that was a typo in the final sentence. I'm going to fix it in my post.

    Re: Check My Sentence Please

Can I say: "The thin child is much lighter than the fat child"?

Maybe it has a deep meaning.I mean, the fat child ate much than it should have eaten, maybe the thin child's share too, so the weight thin child should have got is in the fat child.

Possible - but only if seen in conjunction with the two pictures.
