    Welcome to the forums/

    Of = possession

    The hair of the dog
    The pages of the book

    off is a preposition meaning not on something

    Get off the table
    She knocked the glass off the counter.

    it comes as possessive

    off comes with verbs
    it comes after the verb and become a phrasal verb
    put off
    take off
