    Check the sentences please

    Hello.

I've taken these sentences from a dictionary.
1). You assaulted him with violence. You've as good as broke his leg.
2). I flew solo for the first time this weekend.
3). He played in a band for five years before going solo.

I marked the words which shoud be used in other tense in my opinion:
    1). broken.
    2). had flown.
3). had played or had been playing.

Am I rigth or may be all tenses are appropriated?
    Thanks in advance.
