    Smile fitting

    Please, dear teachers and friends...

When we have, for example, a cable whose "head" does not fit as it should in a conector, like a television, a pc, or some; and that provoques the interruption of the signal.

I'd like to know how you call it, is it bad-fitting? or is there another name more often used?

    Thanks

The plug (head) doesn't fit the socket or port (power outlet or input).
It's not "bad-fitting" if it is the wrong connector. "Ill-fitting" is a better term, which you could use for a connector that is supposed to fit, but doesn't.
You would not use "ill-fitting" if you were attempting to plug a coaxial cable into a USB port. That's a case of connector incompatibility.
