Red face Me, Myself, and I

I was speaking with a friend. She asked my sister's age. I said, "She is a year and a half older than I."

She corrected me and said I should say. 'older than me.'

    Who is correct?

'I' is technically correct but generally regarded as unacceptably pompous. 'Me' is widely tolerated and accepted in all but the most formal contexts.
