Do you say "the tempreature gets warmer"?

    Hi teachers?

I know it's okay to say,

    1. The weather is getting warmer.
    2.The temperature is getting higher.

...and it's wrong to say, "the weather is getting higher".

...but do you think it's okay to say, "The temperatue is getting warmer"?

    Thank you

Thermodynamic systems can be warmer (higher in temperature), but not a physical quantity (T).

    Thank you

I actually have heard Americans say this on occasion, but I agree with the other posters. It's nonstandard at best.
