    Question Finding mistake_held me !

    I took the doctor's prescription to the chemist's to have it make up
    I chose " chemist's " but I'm not sure could you please help me ?

    Chemist's is correct (especially in British English; we Yanks say the pharmacy/the pharmacist). You didn't ask about it specifically, but you have a problem in the last item. It should be made up, not make up. We say that you have something done, so you need the p.p. here. Again, this may be fine in British English, but Americans would normally say to have it filled. Either way, use the p.p.

    In BrE, we don't use 'fill' with prescription much at all. I have attached a quick search I did on the British National Corpus and it is way down the list.

    British National Corpus (BYU-BNC) (searched for all verbs 4 words either side)
