    carbon copy abbreviations

What are the abbreviations used after your name on a letter showing that copies have been sent or kept of that letter? ex: cc/carbon copy? And when do you use them?

    Re: carbon copy abbreviations

cc is used to show that a copy/copies has/have been sent to the people named. It is positioned after the signature block:

    Yours sincerely,

    Joe Bloggs,
    Marketing Director
    XXXX co.

cc John Doe; Jane Smith; Chris Dyer
