    Hi,

    Sounds silly but I'm confused whether it's possible to say he said to me that... or not. Shall we use told here instead?

    Hello. I think you have to use told here.

    He told me that...
    He said that...

    PS There's nothing silly if you're learning language.

    No, it's not incorrect. "Tell somebody ..." is more common.
    He said to me that I should leave. = He told me I should leave.
    What did you say to her?
    Did you really say that to her?
    etc.
