The meaning of a sentence from a research paper

"An IDS-based system is significantly more flexible than the other schemes, and it is much less simple to circumvent."
Is "much less simple"(or the sentence) positive or negative? Thank you very much in advance.

It would be better to use 'much more difficult'.
