    Independence

    in the US declaration of Independence, the phase "in order to form a more perfect union" is used, is that correct english, can one make something more perfect?

    sure!
    I see the Constitution as striving for a more perfect union.
    working together as a coalition will make this a greater country and fulfil a more perfect union

    Just a tiny point of order: It's the US Constitution that uses this phrase, not the Declaration of Independence.
