    Sentence

    Hello!

    The initial sentence is (as it is written in my e-dictonary):

    The colours of the photograph have faded from being kept in bright light.

    Am I right considering that from refers to the photograph and the full sentence should be written this way:

    The colours of the photograph have faded from (the photograph) (that was) being kept (has been kept) in bright light.

    The sentence means 'The colours of the photographs have faded because the photographs were exposed to bright light for an extended period of time.
    In your example from = as a result of
