I am planning to respond to a rejection letter, I wonder if it sounds correct in grammar and sentence structure? -
"Although I am disappointed that I wasn't chosen for a phone interview, I have so far enjoyed talking to people and learning about xxxxxx and, in doing further research, your company is exemplary in the field.
........ I want to let you know that if, for some reasons, the person(s) that you have offered did not work out, I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you further"
Is there anything wrong about the sentences above?
Hmm... "in doing further research" seems to imply that you didn't do enough initial research before you applied to have known what a wonderful company it was until you found out you wouldn't get the interview. Might be better to say: All of the research I've done has shown me that your company is exemplary in the field.
I assume that the "........" indicate a middle section that you are not sharing or do not need advice about. The last sentence would be better: I want to let you know that if, for any reason, the person(s) that you have chosen to interview do not work out, I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you further.
