Student or Learner
Hi, I'm wondering if someone could take a look at this sentence?
"The air conditioning was cold, which made the customers tremble and shiver."
Why is it not:
"The air conditioning was cold which made the customers trembled and shivered." ?
"Tremble" and "shiver" cannot be used in the past tense because the verb "to make" has been used in the past tense.
"Made" has already connected the situation to the past.
Maybe you could say “The air conditioning was cold. Because of that, the customers trembled and shivered.”.
Just a student.
