If somebody thinks that can help me, please keep in touch.
Thanks.
how would you say it, please?
thanks.
I have not the remotest idea what the speaker is aiming to say!
Perhaps someone else would care to make a guess!
"I would like to know where I could find yellow tennis shoes, please. Do you think you can help me? If so, please keep in touch as soon as possible. My email address is [email protected] Thanks."
Hi,
The context is more or less the above. It's about someone looking for help or information on the internet. Do you think the underlined text is understandable?
Thanks.
Aha, in that case it would apear that what are trying to say is:
If somebody thinks that (s)he* can help me, please get in touch.
(Or, more colloquially, 'they')
You wrote "If somebody thinks that can help me,..."
That sounds like there is some bit of knowledge or something, which you are referring to as "that." If someone thinks [this thing or bit of knowledge] can help me,...
If someone thinks that he or she can help me - that is what the person must think. (You can avoid the awkard "he or she" by writing it this way: If you think you can help me,...
You also wrote "please keep in touch." That implies that you have already have some sort of correspondence going. "Please get in touch" means to initiate contact.
