    how is it spoken? "i ran at" or "i ran into"?

    I ran into Paula at the mall this afternoon. (Met socially without prior planning.)

    I ran into the mailbox backing my car down the driveway. (Hit with my car.)

    The bull ran at the matador. (Ran towards with the intention of hitting.)
