Cool Crack up and bring back

In following paragraph, an actress talks about the female movie director at helm in the movie she acts in:

"The only trouble with she directing" --says the actress-- "is that she cracks the entire set up during takes and we all have to bring ourselves back"

Problems are with "crack up" and "bring back"

May them mean here "drive the entire set mad" for "crack up" and "rebuild themselves (cast and crew)" for "bring back"?

    Thanks

She makes them laugh uncontrollably. They have to sober up and restart what they were doing.

Re: Crack up and bring back

The first problem is with the use of "She".

"The only trouble with her directing" --says the actress-- "is that she cracks the entire set up during takes and we all have to bring ourselves back"

'Crack up' in this instance, means to make everyone on the laugh.

'Bring back' in this instance, means to struggle to stop laughing so that they can return to the serious work of making films.

I can imagine this being said in a New York accent, Maybe an AE speaker could shed further light on that.
