    Yes, the word ain't is a "fused" contraction, like won't ( < will not). A contraction is when two or more words are joined together and an apostrophe replaces one or more of a sequence of the letters. Like this,

    • I am => I'm
    • You are => you're
    • She is => she's
    • We have => we've
    • It has => It's
    • It is => It's
    • can not => can't
