    on the next day or next day?


    I have a small problem. I am not sure which form is correct.

    On the next day I went to Paris. or

    Next day I went to Paris.

    The second one seems to be more correct to me, but my friend told me that the first one is more formal.

    Could you explain the difference to me , please?
