    is there any difference between marry and get married ?

    No, not if you're referring to the couple who are marrying/getting married.
    However, we also say that a priest marries a couple. Of course, he does not get married to the couple.

    to become the husband or wife of (someone) : to become joined with (someone) in marriage [+ obj]
    ▪ He married his college sweetheart.
    ▪ marrying a doctor/lawyer
    ▪ I asked her to marry me.
    ▪ “Will you marry me?” “Yes, I will.” [no obj]
    ▪ He hopes to marry [=get married] soon.
    ▪ She married young. [=she was young when she married]
    ▪ They married for love, not money.
