    Time

    Hi there! I would like to know if it's correct this expression " It's a half past six pm", I have heard and used " It's a quarter to/past...." I know " a half " can be used for many other things but hour. Please help me in it.

    That is correct, I believe, but is dated. Also, note that "half past" is very British, we usually say six-thirty in AE, at least in the Great Lakes region.
