Smile 'I believe you' VS 'I believe in you'

What is the difference between two sentences?
    1) I believe you
    2) I believe in you

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

I believe in you - also could be used when you want to say that you believe someone could do something. Am I right?

    Thanks in advance!
