Question Out in the real world

Out in the real world, working mothers aren't able to charge the taxpayer for their
childcare. They often have to balance their desire to return to work with the crippling cost of nurseries, which can eat up most of their pay packet.
Hello! What does 'out' mean here? What is the difference of the meaning if I remove 'out' from this phrase?

    Thank you!

Re: Out in the real world

I think you could leave it out and it would mean the same thing.
