    Wink Help Please!

    Hello there!

1/Could you check the following sentences please?

-In accordance with safety standards, the zip slider must not go past the garment bottom.

-There must be 2 cm between the button middle and the edge of the left side (would it be better to say the "left side edge?")

-The neckline must be inserted into the underside of the facing (would it be better to say the facing underside?)

2/ Which is the right expression : a 3/4 sleeved top or a 3/4 sleeve top?

3/ Regarding a garment length, could we say that it ends 4 cm above the knee level, on front thigh side?

    Thanks a lot!!

-There must be 2 cm between the middle of the button middle and the edge of the left side of what? The left side edge of what?

-The neckline must be inserted into the underside of the facing (would it be better to say the facing underside?) - I don't know what this one means, but "facing underside" doesn't sound right at all. Someone who sews may say it's just fine.

2/ Which is the right expression : a 3/4 sleeved top or a 3/4 sleeve top? A 3/4-sleeve top (or shirt)

While we can often change "the X of the Y" to "the Y X" most of your examples don't sound natural to me. "The middle of the road" would never be "the road middle," and "the button middle" sounds almost as odd.

I'm not a teacher, and I don't know how to sew.
