    from

    Hi!
I would like to catch the meaning of *from* in the following sentence:

... A newspaper with a long, proud history of fostering indipendent writing projects *from* its staff.

    Could it be:

A newspaper with a long, proud history of fostering its staff's indipendent writing projects?

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: from

Yes, your sentence has equivalent meaning.

In this context, "from" means "submitted by" or "suggested by".
