    phrasal verb

    Hello, I have a quick question about a test that I recently took:



    I classified the phrasal verbs in my work as implying the greater degree of state such as blanken up, and black up not implying would you agree with me that blacken up implies a greater degree of change of state? if u have any ideas let me know till tommorow evening, Thank you, Paul

    Hi Paul,
    I'm not famliar with either "black up" or "blacken up" (or "blanken up" as you also have written). What do you use this phrase to mean?

    to black up - it has something to do with smoking pot, I believe the Americans have coined such verb.
