    Question which word is suitable ?

    teacher! please help me.
    I have some problemablout the meaning of word.
    for example, in this sentence:
    1)"Don't throw the potato............away! It's very nutritious.
    a)core b) peel c)skin.
    Is there any difference between them ? as I know, they have the same meaning.
    2) Before you star cooking, you shoul gather together all the necessary ..........
    a) components b)constituents c)ingredients.
    I think they also have the same meaning.Please help me choose the correct word to complete

    1. Either peel or skin.
    2. Ingredients is the usual term.

    Before you star cooking should be Before you start cooking, shouldn't it?
