    "Some of the money........." We don't use 'any' in this situation.

    I agree... but we would say 'Any money collected .... would go to heart disease.' Here 'any' means 'all the money', which is not the same as 'some of the money' in the first example. In the origina post, 'some of ...' is 'a part'.
