    Are these sentences correct:

    a. How many times does this machine have the power to do this operation?
    b. How many times do you have the patience to do this?

    Grammatically, the sentences may be correct but the language style is weird

    Did you mean in the first one:
    a. How many times can this machine do (repeat) this operation? (in other words: what is the capacity of this machine?)

    b. For how long will you be patient enough to keep doing this?
