    a deodorant // deodorant

    Hello.

    - I always use a deodorant after I've had a shower.
    - Someone should tell him that he needs deodorant.

    I'd say:
    - I always use deodorant after I've had a shower.
    - Someone should tell him that he needs a deodorant.

    What do you think?

    Thank you.

    Re: a deodorant // deodorant

    Hello Daruma,

All look fine to me. "Deodorant" implies the substance; "a deodorant" implies a particular kind of deodorant, or a particular container of deodorant.

    Best wishes,
