    Smile difficult sentence

    hi at all i want to know what is this sentence
    So we lift his prints off
    something he touched.
    what is the meaning of lift his prints off( i don't found the verb print off in dictionary)

    To "lift prints off" is when the police use a method to check to see if fingerprints were left on objects/furniture etc at the scene of a crime. You will see this in all detective movies when the FBI or police first visit the crime scene and try to get "prints" of those who may have been at the scene of the crime. The fingerprints will help them find the "bad guys".
