    Question T-Models=?

When Ford made the first T-models in 1908, he never guessed that a mere century later, the epicenter of auto manufacturing would move to China, which at the time was still under the rule of the reactionary Manchus.

Q1: Does 'T-models' refer to car?

Q2: Is 'epicenter' suitable here? Is it better than 'center'? I think 'epicenter' is relevant to earthquake. Did the author use it as image?

    Thank you!

    Re: T-Models=?

Model T is the first of Ford company's automobiles considered to be the first successfully mass-produced on an assembly line.

Epicenter is not only used for earthquakes. It has been correctly used and refers to the center point or focal point of auto manufacturing.
