    prepositions and speech skills

Is there a clear cut distinction always in the use of prepositions(e.g-in ,at,on) or does it depend on the way the speaker intends,
    also,
do native english speakers make grammar mistakes when they speak, and do they sometimes feel they do not have exact words to say what they intend to .

no, there is not always a clear cut distinction. Often there is a choice.
eg. He is in the room; he is inside the room.
the choice of preposition obviously depends on the speaker's intention.

yes, this happens often; also in writing.

He's right. We make errors all the time... although we mostly self-correct by rephrasing, which is harder to do quickly enough as a learner.
