    May I say "everywhere is---"

    Hello, teachers:
1.There were farms everywhere near my grandpa's house then.

2.Everywhere is farms near my grandpa's house then.

I am wondering if 1 and 2 can be interchangeable.
    May I have your verification?

    Thanks a lot!

Oops! I tpyed the wrong botton.
So is it right if I write:
Everywhere were farms near my grandpa's house then.

I don't think it's right because adv "everywhere" can't be subject.

'everywhere near my grandpa's house, there were farms then.' is okay.

but the best sentence is the first sentence in your first post.
