    which is it correct to say:

    a. is she is at her desk?
    b. is she is on her desk?

    Both!!

    a. means that she is by or sitting at her desk.
    b. means she is sitting or standing on the actual desk.

    They are fine, but the following not quite so:
    Is she is at her desk?
